Early Warning of Halloween!

Violet Bishop, at age 87, did something non sequitur, like it was part of a comedic movie or something. With a little persuasion from some milk duds, she ate her own hearing aid. Like any other sensible old lady, she was propped in bed, ready to watch dancing with the stars, and wanted to munch on some candy. So she got out of bed and snatched some candy. Here were her words as she munched on the candy:
"As I enjoyed the chocolate and caramel taste, it appeared that one of my Milk Duds was not as fresh as the others. On was rather crunchy and I could not get it to soften up, no matter how hard I tried."

Later, she found out; as she shifted position in bed, her hearing aid fell out of her ear and into her box of mild duds. It was all a careless mistake. At least the milk dud was destroyed in goodness. Fortunately, this caused no health concern for the old lady. The broken hearing aid cost her about $199 dollars to get it fixed and shipped. There are always careless events occurring around Halloween, so take this as an early warning to your own experience.
